Earning none still, you get 1.25k merits the 4th week. Earning none, you get 2.5k merits the third week. Though, after the 4th week of having those merits, they go away.
The only boon to taking longer is that every week, your 'cashed in' merits are haved, but the half is still kept, allowing you to upkeep rank 5 with only 5k merits on the second week. will it give me the highest rank I can afford? or is rank 4 still 4 weeks away regardless of how hard I can grind?
